Resources

Responsible Sourcing

Responsible sourcing starts with knowing the supplier, the origin of material and the path it takes through the physical supply chain.

01

Supplier expectations

Suppliers are expected to provide accurate origin, ownership, permit and product information and to support proportionate verification.

  • Permitted source and legal right to sell
  • Traceable chain-of-custody records
  • Independent assay or inspection where applicable
  • No material of unverified origin

02

Risk-based review

Higher-risk sources, routes or counterparties require enhanced review. Concerns can result in additional information requests, suspension or rejection of a transaction.

03

Continuous improvement

Mercury’s stated approach is aligned to recognised mineral supply-chain due-diligence principles and is reviewed as operating conditions change.
